Peter Friedman

Peter Friedman in The Call to the Post

PETER FRIEDMAN originated the role of Tateh in the musical Ragtime in its world premiere in Toronto, as well as on Broadway, receiving an Outer Critics Circle Award and Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations. He has recently appeared in the Ben Katchor/Mark Mulcahy musical The Slug Bearers of Kayrol Island, Annie Baker’s Body Awareness, and Deborah Zoe Laufer’s End Days.

He was in the original New York productions of The Heidi Chronicles by Wendy Wasserstein and Simon Gray’s The Common Pursuit (earning Drama Desk nominations for both), A Soldier’ s Play by Charles Fuller, C.P.Taylor’s …and a Nightingale Sang, and Execution of Justice by Emily Mann. He also appeared in New York in The Tenth Man by Paddy Chayefsky, Donald Margulies’ The Loman Family Picnic, Israel Horovitz’ My Old Lady and the Broadway revival of Reginald Rose’s Twelve Angry Men.

He participated in the New York Musical Theatre Festival in The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World. His films include The Savages, I’m Not There, Freedomland, Safe, The Seventh Sign, Single White Female, Blink, Paycheck, The Messenger, and Synecdoche, New York. On television he was a performer on The Muppet Show, and a regular on the series Brooklyn Bridge.

George Bass

George is a graduate from the High School of Performing Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  In New York City since 1975, he’s been actively working in Theater, Moicies and TV, both in English and Spanish. Some TV credits include: Law & Order, L&O SVU, America’s Most Wanted, The Sopranos, The Beat , Third Watch, Strangers with Candy and Important Things with Demetri Martin. Movies: The Break, Lady in theWater and Dear Lemon Lima.  George received several awards and his voice can be heard in numerous TV and radio jingles and commercials and movies and TV series dubbed into Spanish.

Lonnie Farmer

Lonnie has acted in stage, film and television productions for fifteen years.Film credits include The Cider House Rules, Mystic River, In Dreams and Gone, Baby, Gone. You can look for him opposite Thomas Haden Church in the independent film, Don McKay, to be released in 2010.

Television credits include Showtime’s Brotherhood series, in which he played Representative Gerald Williams for three seasons.

Lydia Hannibal

Lydia Hannibal’s recent film credits include The Proposal and At Our Age. Other credits are, Homeboy , Angel of Death and the cult classic Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

On television she made guest appearances and had featured roles in Renegade, Right of Passage, Picket Fences, Dave’s World, Intimate Terror and was a contract playLydia Hannibal

Lydia Grew up in Sherman Oaks, California where she caught the acting bug. She is an alum of California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California, and the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, where she became a member of the acting company. Other theatres Lydia has worked at include, The McCarter Theatre, Virginia Museum Theatre, Center Stage, Denver Center Theatre Company, Crossroads, LA Shakespeare, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, 24th Street Theatre and The Market Theatre in South Africa to name a few. Some of her theatre credits are Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, For Colored Girls, The Browning Version, Defying Gravity, Noises Off and Raisin. Lydia was recently nominated for a Spotlight Award for Best Supporting actress for her portrayal of Mrs. Mueller in Doubt.

Frank Ridley

Frank Ridley in The Call to the PostFrank started his career a singer with Sarah Caldwell and the Opera Company of Boston. He quickly migrated to non-musical theater, then film and television.

For three years he played Terry Mulligan on Showtime’s Peabody award winning show Brotherhood. He’s also been featured on Law & Order Criminal Intent, 30 Rock, and several other shows. He recently was cast in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire directed by Martin Scorsese.

His feature film credits include The Box, Edge of Darkness, The Great Debaters, Underdog, and the upcoming Company Men.
